It was indeed a hot day so early start at 6AM was important. West exposure of Latraldash ridges meant that we would climb in shade at least part of the route. 9 hikers from the Republic of Belarus completed their Tobavarchkhili trek and had only one day to spend in Mestia. Hiking to Mt. Latraldash let them see the best Svaneti nature may offer: dramatic rise of Ushba and Chatin walls, rich variety of alpine meadows and distant ranges of Racha and Lechkhumi (60 km away). And at 3200m they also reached the highest elevation of their trip. Indeed a memorable day in Svaneti mountains.
